Your main responsibility as a transport assistance would be to support the logistics and transportation team in controlling the flow of supplies and commodities. Coordination of routes, scheduling of shipments, and tracking of goods from pickup to delivery will be your responsibility. Additionally, you will be in charge of keeping correct records of shipments, making sure that all paperwork is current and full, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
To make sure that all items are delivered on schedule and in excellent condition, you could be expected to collaborate directly with drivers, bus operators, and other transportation partners in this capacity. In order to make sure that goods are delivered utilizing the most effective routes and techniques, you will also be in charge of monitoring routes.
Managing inventory levels, working with warehouse staff, and helping out other departments as needed are all potential additional responsibilities. You can also be in charge of doing regular maintenance and inspections on the vehicles and other equipment used for transportation. Excellent communication abilities, good organisational abilities, and the capacity to perform effectively under pressure are required of a candidate for this position. They should also be highly driven, detail-oriented, and capable of cooperating with others in a team setting.
